At Forest Hills of DC by Goodwin Living, a not-for-profit senior living campus, memory care is rooted in compassion, respect and dignity. Forest Side Way, our dedicated memory care environment, provides specialized support in a home-like setting for residents with all levels of cognitive ability.
World-class care with a human touch
Memory care is a residential option for older adults living with Alzheimer’s disease, other forms of dementia or cognitive needs. It offers 24/7 support in a secure, structured setting where residents can feel more comfortable during their daily routines.
At Forest Hills of DC, memory care is offered in Forest Side Way, a dedicated neighborhood on campus overlooking one of our beautiful courtyards. Residents may transition to memory care from another level of support at Forest Hills or join the community directly, with the benefit of familiar surroundings, caring team members and a place designed around their needs.

Life at Forest Side Way is guided by deep respect for each resident and their personal journey. Team members take time to understand each person, offer support with patience and skill and look for meaningful ways to bring connection and enjoyment into the day.

Whether they’re joining a program, spending time in the courtyard or simply sharing a quiet moment with a team member, each experience is tailored in a way that feels safe and comfortable.

Support when it matters most
Limited openings in Forest Side Way are available first to current residents and then to individuals from the greater community. We accept most long-term care insurance policies and can guide you through understanding what your coverage may include.
Rates for memory care begin at $324 per day. This includes housing, meals, medication management and personal care.
